Nuts and candies, especially those sold in collector tins, make great last-minute Christmas gifts. Your troop could even consider offering to gift wrap items for customers. Many people don’t even realize that Girl Scouts sell more than just cookies!

Sometimes asking is all it takes. Teachers, school staff, coaches, even Sunday School teachers and pastors! And don’t forget to send emails! Trophy Nut has a great portal for girls to safely send emails, allowing potential customers to shop online when they have the time. GSOH has also created a social media promotional toolkit to provide you with graphics and promotional messages to share on social media! Remember to always keep a girl’s personal information (including the link to her personal store) private. Only share with people you know personally.

By participating in the product sale activity girls learn the 5 Skills that are the key focus of the product program: Goal Setting, Decision Making, People Skills, Money Management, and Business Ethics. Keep in mind that even if her goal isn’t reached, she is a success because she is learning these skills. ~Jen M.
